Remind me when this event is taking place?
Saturday 22nd October 2016, between 10am – 4pm.
And where?
St Mary’s Church for the crafts and the village hall for the produce.
Will there be refreshments?
Yes, from 8am until 11am there will be the chance to enjoy a BIG BREAKFAST in the village hall. From midday onwards you will have the opportunity to buy a hot lunch or cake.
What sort of stalls will there be?
There will be 23 craft stalls, with stallholders selling a wide range of goods. These include handcrafted jewellery, bags, scarves, hats, handmade glass, slate garden products, cards, fridge magnets, painted boxes, pictures made from pressed flowers, gemstone trees and cushions, aprons and cross stitch, baby clothes, Christmas decorations and candles. That’s not forgetting works from a sculptor, blacksmith and a metalsmith.
What about the produce?
Wendy Cross will be running a large produce stall, full of delicious cakes, jams and pickles.
Sounds great, can I contribute?
You certainly can and we’d be very grateful for any donations. Simply bring anything along on the day or we’ll collect from you.
Can I help in any other way?
Yes, we’ve so far had four volunteers come forward but need so many more! We’re looking for help in the kitchen, on the door selling tickets, plus help with car parking. This can be either an hour, or longer if you have the time. Just call Phil on 388097 to arrange a suitable time slot.
Is there any special opening event?
Yes, we’re delighted that Cllr Angela Pendleton, Mayor of Leominster, will be attending in her official capacity to open the event at 10am.
Is there an admission charge?
We hope the public will be willing to pay just £1, which in return will give you a hot drink in the village hall.
Finally, what about car parking?
We’re delighted that the parish council has agreed to parking on the recreation ground, subject to adverse weather conditions.
Well it sounds a great day! I’ll bring the whole family and tell all my friends, I’m sure they’ll be looking for some Christmas bargains I’ll see you on 22nd October.
