National Day of Reflection - Bell Tolling
Tuesday 23 March 2021, 12:01am - 12:08pm
Tuesday, 23rd March marks the first anniversary of the first lockdown in the UK with a national day of reflection to reflect on our collective loss due to Covid-19, support those who have been bereaved, and hope for a brighter future.
The Church of England has partnered with Marie Curie and asked Bellringers to mark the end of the national one minute silence at 12 noon by tolling a bell commencing at 12:01.
Geoff, our Tower Captain, will Toll the Eardisland tenor bell 126 times, with each strike representing 1000 people who have died from Covid, so far, throughout UK.
All will be welcome inside the church to witness the event. It will take about 7 minutes
